These breathing techniques and postures are from the work of Ottoman Hanish at the turn of the last century. They are deeply connected to wrestling traditions and the release and strengthening of the mid section and shoulder blades. They also work extensively on the vocal cords through tone and breath. Because of their intensity and difficulty I tend to save these for serious students who want to look at wrestling more deeply. At present there is not a class for these as they are too obscure! But, I work with students privately on them if they want. I have done a DVD of most of these which is available under “Store“.
